Purpose

 

  •  To develop an understanding of 3D immersive/virtual environments and their prospective application in education for the promotion of interactive learning experiences.
  • To demonstrate this knowledge and understanding by developing a particular area of research interest and formulating a research question.

Literature review

This section is a collection of resources including content from books, journal articles, blogs, wikis and websites that contain information on 3D immersive/virtual environments to help answer the following questions:

 

  • What are 3D immersive/virtual environments?
  • Why were these technologies developed?
  • How are they currently used?
  • Can these be used for educational purposes?

 

Some suggested reading around the project topic.


Endnote library

This section contains a collection of references to the numerous sources of information on the topic of 3D immersive/virtual environments with particular emphasis on the educational applications of these technologies. These include, but are not limited to, books, journals, blogs, wikis and websites.   references.htm still have to figure out how to show the exported references as a html page with the same name as the wiki page!
